Buenos Aires is a busy, buzzy, hustling, bustling city, and there is always something going on. Except in January. Nothing happens in January because the whole place relocates to the beach resorts of Mar del Plata and Punta del Este*. But anyway. There are actually a lot of events to be enjoyed here in BA all year round. And if you are here in January, at least you have the city to yourself

Upcoming Buenos Aires Events

Currently, I don’t have any upcoming events in Buenos Aires noted on this page. Not because there aren’t many, but instead, I haven’t had much time to update this page yet!

Until that happens, if you know of an upcoming event, such as a music festival, big soccer game, gallery opening, special nightclub event, 2 for 1 entry at your local barrio’s bingo hall (kind of half joking there), then please CONTACT ME and let me know about it, so I can ‘big it up’ it on this page.

Blog posts on past events in Buenos Aires

So far, in 2006, I have attended and recorded for posterity the following events in Buenos Aires:

• Gran Premio Nacional 2006, Palermo Hipodromo, November 11th 2006 – the major horse race in the Argentine racing calendar, a great day out for all the family, held every year on a Saturday in Novemeber.
• Buenos Aires Pillow Fight, Palermo Parks, November 18th 2006 – the first ever ‘flashmob’ event in Argentina, a huge outdoor pillow fight (”Lucha de Almohadas”) attended by over 3,000 people. Other Buenos Aires flashmob events are in the pipeline, which I will report on as I see fit
