1. What is included in the price of the tour?

- The undivided attention of your expert native English speaking guide for the duration of the tour (it is a private walking tour, so only the people you book for will be on it).
- The cost of any public transport (subway, bus) and entry fees required DURING the walking tour.
- A personal meeting service at your hotel (or other accommodation) to then accompany you to the start of the walking tour.
- The opportunity to ask us any questions you might have about Buenos Aires before and after you take the tour, via email.

2. What is NOT included in the price of the tour?

- The cost of any transport TO the start of the walking tour from your accommodation, AND onwards FROM the end of the walking tour (this is usually taxis, which are cheap and plentiful in Buenos Aires).
- The cost of any food or drink you consume during the walking tour, such as at cafe and lunch breaks (although our guides are of course happy to pay for whatever they consume during the tour).  But again, food and drink in Buenos Aires is relatively cheap, and we don’t take you to any rip-off places.
- Gratuities
- If you wish to change the tour route, or skip some walking between areas on the tour, the cost of any additional taxi journeys required to enable this is not included.

3. Where do the tours start?

- Unless you specifically request otherwise, the tours begin with your guide meeting you in your hotel lobby (or other accommodation within the city of Buenos Aires) at the agreed start time to accompany you to the start of the walking tour. This is usually by taxi, which as stated above, is an additional cost to you on the day – and please bear in mind that taxis drivers only accept cash, and most only in Argentine Pesos. If you are coming in on a cruise ship, or staying outside of the city limits, then we will suggest another meeting point in/near the city center and give you clear instructions on how to get there.

4. What happens at the end of the tour?

- At the end of the walking tour, your tour guide can either put you in a taxi back to your hotel (or other destination), or give you directions/advice on where you might want to head next on foot/by subway etc.

5. What is the policy/price for children taking the tour?

- Children aged 8 and above are counted as one person, paying full price to join the tour. Children up to the age of 7 go free (but please let us know when booking if you have children joining you on the tour in this manner).

6. Do you accept other forms/methods of payment apart from full payment online?

- Yes. You can also a small deposit paid online to reserve the tour, followed by the remainder in cash (US Dollars) to your guide at the start of the tour. Or we can arrange for us to call you so that we can charge your credit or debit card over the phone, to pay a deposit or the cost in full. Please contact us before booking if you wish to pay by one of these alternative methods, however do remember that if we get a fully paid booking in the meantime, that will take priority ahead of your booking, so it is best to pay in full now to avoid missing out on the time/date you want to book for!

7. How many people are typically on your tours?

- We only offer completely private tours, so only the people you book for will be on the tour. If you are alone, it will just be you and your guide. If you are a couple, just the two of you and your guide, and so on. We believe this is the best type of tour, so that it can be personalised to you, go at your own pace, and so that you can have the full attention of your guide for the duration of the tour. To ensure this high quality experience on all tours, the maximum size of groups we accept is 7 people (for larger groups, we suggest splitting into smaller groups and booking separate tours).

8. Do you offer car/bus tours?

- No. We only offer walking tours (with some public transport), as we believe they offer the best, most authentic sightseeing experience – you will discover Buenos Aires up close and personal, just as a local sees the city.

9. Can I join another person/group’s tour? Can I do the tour on my own?

- You cannot join another person/group’s tour. We only offer and advertise private tours, and the majority of our clients book with us for this very reason, so we are unable to add additional people to their tours. We also believe that a completely private walking tour is by far the best way to discover a new city (click here to see why). However, YES, you can do the tour on your own. We have a two person minimum cost, but you can still pay this and do the tour on your own for a super-personal experience. And ask nicely before booking and we might just give you a discount!

10. What happens if I book a tour, but then decide to cancel it?

- Once you have booked your private walking tour, if you then decide to cancel  with more than 1 week’s notice, or if it can not take place for reasons outside of our control (i.e. very heavy rainstorm), you will NOT be charged for the tour and you will receive a full refund.
- However, if you cancel with less than 1 week’s notice, you will be charged for 20% of the tour cost (we will refund 80% of the cost of the tour, assuming you paid in full ahead of time).

11. What happens if it rains on the day of the tour?

- If the rain is fairly light or intermittent, we continue with the tour, using umbrellas etc and going inside cafes/buildings if the rain gets heavier, as needed. However, in case of a very heavy rainstorm and/or flooding (very unlikely), we cancel the tour and try to rearrange it for you, or if not provide a full refund. In case of doubts on the day of the tour, please contact your tour guide using the cell phone contact number we give you in your booking confirmation email.

12. What happens if I am late for the tour?

- If you are a little late for the tour, then your guide will of course wait for you and continue the tour as normal. Your guide will try to still give you the full tour, however this may not always be possible if they have another tour or personal commitment scheduled after your tour. If you are more than half an hour late, then it may not make sense to go ahead with the tour as planned, and instead we may try to rearrange or cancel (with an 80% refund). In all cases of lateness (and even in the rare case that it appears your guide is late), please call your tour guide as soon as possible to let them know.

13. How much walking do the tours involve? What is the difficulty level?

- Our half day tours involve around 3.5km (2.2 miles) of walking. The full day tour covers around 7km (4.4 miles) of walking. All include a cafe break and usually at least one subway or bus ride, and the day tour also includes a lunch break, so there is plenty of chance to rest your feet along the way. And of course, as it is a completely private tour, you can go at your own pace, and request to stop whenever needed. You can even catch a taxi to reduce walking for parts of the tour if required (although this would be at your own additional cost on the day). In summary, difficulty level: EASY!

14. Is it necessary to bring anything to the tours?

- We recommend comfortable shoes, sunscreen if it looks like a sunny day, perhaps water (although we can always stop to buy this along the way), and of course, cash in Argentine Pesos (to pay for taxis to and from the tours, and any food/drink you consume in cafe/lunch breaks – you might also want to take some dollars, and a credit or debit card along to pay in cafes and restaurants, or to withdraw extra cash from ATM’s).

15. Do you offer tours year round?

- Yes, we offer our sightseeing tours 365 days a year, assuming we have guide availability left for you (book in advance to avoid disappointment, especially for high season, from September to March).

16. Can I schedule a tour at any time of day?

- Yes, although we recommend that you take our half day tours starting at 9.30am or 2.30pm, and our full day tour at 9.30am, you can request to book a tour from any time starting at 8am at the earliest, and finishing at 8pm at the latest (although only recommended during high season – during winter we start to lose the light at around 6pm). If you want a different tour time to those we suggest, please stipulate this when booking, and we will do our best to meet your requirements.

17. What languages do you offer tours in?

- At present we only offer tours in English, all given by native English speakers (from the US and England).

18. I want to book a car tour/horse-riding trip/hotel/etc in Buenos Aires, can I do that through you?

- No. We currently only offer private guided walking tours in the city of Buenos Aires, and a discount on our favorite tango dinner-show in Buenos Aires (when booking/paying online in advance). You can of course ask for recommendations for other tours/activities etc from our tour booking team and/or your tour guide and they will be happy to help.
