Buenos Aires Shopping Areas / Centers / Malls

  • Abasto Shopping Center (Corrientes 3247, between Aguero & Anchorena), Abasto, City Center - mainstream shopping center including a cinema & many things to do
  • Avenida Corrientes Bookstores (Av. Corrientes from 9 de Julio to Callao), City Center - a few blocks packed full of bookstores to feed the Buenos Aires bookworms.

Individual Shops in Buenos Aires

  • Objetos Encontrados, Thames 1721 (between El Salvador & Costa Rica), Palermo Soho - a cool shop of “Found Objects” such as toys, antiques and other random stuff.
  • Boutique del Libro Bookstore, Thames 1762 (between Costa Rica & El Salvador), Palermo Soho - bookshop and cafe with a wide selection of books, including a decent English-language section
  • El Gato Negro Teas and Spices, Avenida Corrientes 1669 (near corner with Rodriguez Pena), City Center - this lovely old cafe is also a tea, coffee and spice shop - you’ll find spices here that can be difficult to obtain in the rest of Buenos Aires.
